New York and its street food trucks

As seen in so many movies, who hasn't dreamed once of eating a hot dog on the streets of New York? I do have, I must confess! If you've visited this blog at least a couple of times, you'd know by now that I'm quite fond of street food. This liking got worst last year when I was in Vancouver and discovered there the passion of North Americans for this art of eating.

Yesterday, the annual meeting Parked! took place on the South Street Seaport of Manhattan, an event where the best food trucks of the city gather. When you think of food trucks, you may think of hot dogs, hamburgers or pizza, well, that was before, now these trucks have specialized and offer some bites you would never dream of, or what would you say to a kimchi taco, a lobster roll, grilled cheese or a Taiwanese lunch box? See it for yourselves...

  1. I love street food! In Thailand there was a lot of this, and I ate everything from mango, soups and squid, loved it! Love this post about NY, since I'm going this fall, so I look forward to your posts about it :-)

    1. Well, than is NY the place for you too! You can always look for the best food truck. Over one of the sites I've linked you can search every week where each truck is parked.
Fall must be a perfect time to visit NY. This is my second time in summer and it's warm, veeeery warm!

  2. Uh, I didn't see this post till now. I would so much love to have a bite of this. Thank you, Noema for making me lust for NY street food. It is just a matter of days before Sandra will arrive in NY, so I look forward to see her photos of food when she comes back. Nice to back at your blog ;)

    1. Hello, Henriette, nice to hear from you too! :)
I look forward to see her photos too, and hope they arrive safe after hurricane Sandy
